Even though they have a large range and inhabit Europe, Asia, northern Africa and sometimes Great Britain, Eagle Owls are not common; they are Rare, and even locally Endangered. These owls are trapped extensively, and they are at risk of shootings. In addition, their population is impacted by loss of habitat due to deforestation.
There are 15 different species of these owls, and they're all related to the Great Horned Owl of America. They are best-known as Eurasian something.
